Camping Böhmerwald is a small, quiet but cosy campground.
It is situated near the pretty rural village of Koningsbosch situated between
south and middle Limburg. The low rolling hills are excellent for long walks and
cycling trips. Because of this, both the VVV and ANWB have laid out diverse
cycling
routes.
We are centrally placed, 2 km from Germany and 11 km from Belgium. There are
interesting towns to visit e.g. the German shopping town of Heinsburg (approx.
13 km) or the friendly old Belgian city Maaseik with it's many terraces and
domestic beers (approx. 11km). Also, Maastricht and Valkenburg are only approx.
35 minutes by car. Our nearest German municipality, Selfkant, has a number of
cycling routes and sights, which we highly recommend. The naturalist will also
feel at home in our immediate surroundings. If one is cautious early in
the morning, you can come across numbers of wild animals in the forests and in
the fields. Also of interest is the re-established swamp area nearby and the
nature reserves "de Doord", "Kranenbroek",
"Putbroek" or "De meinweg".
